Weddings

When I meet new people and they ask me what I do and I mention that I'm a photographer, they invariably ask me if I shoot weddings. I always hesitate a moment before answering because, while I have photographed weddings, I don't consider myself to be a "wedding photographer," per se. My style is a bit different--I think of myself as a "Creator of Beautiful Images" as opposed to a wedding photographer. This means that I go into an event with an open mind--I capture what strikes me as beautiful and important rather than just the cookie-cutter images you might see in most wedding albums.

What I pride myself on, what I love to do, is create images that are spontaneous and relevant to a particular moment. Because my style of shooting is different, the images I will capture can't really be predicted. What I can guarantee is that the images will be unique to the couple and will embody their day. I create images that truly capture the ambiance of the individual wedding and the bride and groom's personalities.

Below are images from weddings I have photographed. I'm photographing another friend's wedding in June and will definitely be posting images from that shoot. I'm really excited about it! Stay tuned.

As for these images, they are from several different weddings, in chronological order from oldest to newest. I have shot a couple more besides these, but that was back when I was shooting film and didn't think to get the negatives scanned before I gave them to the bride and groom. Oops!

Enjoy!

  1. Those are beautiful! You captured candid intimate moments, I love the photo of the boys before wedding and the brides son with the gecko on his shoulder.
