Several summers ago, I had the honor and privilege of photographing Carrie and Ezra's wedding on the gorgeous North Shore of O'ahu, Hawai'i. I met Carrie and Ezra through our mutual friend, Riji. On several occasions, Riji and I had collaborated on portrait and fashion shots, and she recommended me to her friends after viewing the photos we created. Below are some of my favorite shots of Carrie and Ezra's rehearsal and wedding day. I have to say, of all the weddings I've photographed, this one is my favorite; the love between Carrie and Ezra was so apparent and shared by everyone who attended, through heartfelt song and words. Cheers to Carrie and Ezra with best wishes for many years of happy marriage and friendship! Please enjoy the story of their wedding in photos below.

Krystel & Jeff
Whenever I think of Krystel and Jeff, I think of the time Krystel told me how she wished on her necklace for a sign as to whether or not Jeff was "The One." No sooner had she made her wish than Jeff walked up to her, reached around her neck, unclasped and removed her necklace, and handed it to her before turning and walking away without saying a word. At the time she told me the story, Krystel and I weren't sure what to make of it. Only later did we realize that that was the sign she had asked for--Jeff was indeed The One!
When Krystel told me she and Jeff were getting married, I knew instantly I had to be the one to do her photos; Krystel has a keen eye for detail and I knew that any event she planned would be filled with elegant touches that would make for great images.
Krystel had a very clear vision of what she wanted her wedding to be like. Soft purples and blues, lavendar buds, tea sets, finger sandwiches. She created an afternoon tea party wedding that turned out beautifully. I was lucky enough to get to capture the event, and below are my favorite images of the day.
Enjoy!
Krystel's shoes came out the perfect shade of periwinkle blue
After having her hair done, Krystel sat down for a bit of breakfast
Then it was on to makeup
Dress and shoes
Krystel's mom came by the hotel to help her into her dress
Putting on the finishing touches
Pretty lady
Happy
I think this is my favorite of the entire day...
Krystel in Repose
Jeff's waiting to see Krystel in her gown for the first time
"Ta da!"
I think he likes what he sees
Jeff has the uncanny ability of finding four leaf clovers...here they're searching
Magnum and Blue Steel
Bouquets
Krystel's wild nephews
Listening to Emily read an excerpt from The Little Prince, Krystel's favorite book
Keepsakes
Details
The spread
Champagne and strawberries
Listening to the Best Man and Matron of Honor give their speeches
This one pretty much sums it up.
Congratulations, Krystel & Jeff!
